Artistic Director and CEO, Andreas Hogue Salon Andreas Hogue is a celebrated American stylist. Known for his precision cuts and advanced color techniques, Andreas is also highly regarded for his work as an extensionist. As an Artistic Educator for Matrix, Andreas's work has been seen on runways, in print, and on television worldwide. Additionally, he spends a lot of his time teaching and mentoring our nation's up and coming talent in the fashion industry. Notable career achievements include being named a "Celebrity Stylist" and "Stylist to the Stars" by Hairdreams USA and leading his first salon, Unitress Salon and Spa, to notoriety when it was named one of the "Six Best in the Midwest" by HairWinners magazine and one of the "Top 20 Salons in the Country" in the 2009 edition of GlamHair magazine. Andreas was born in Chicago and raised in Glenview, Illinois. He is a graduate of DePaul University in Chicago and Loyola Academy in Wilmette. -

A Pivot Pointe graduate with 25 years in the industry, April has taken home multiple first place trophies for her work and has been recognized for the energy and enthusiasm she brings to her art. April loves to meet guests with “challenging hair”, as she prides herself on the ability to completely transform the look of unhealthy locks. April’s most recent work has been seen on the runway for First Tee Chicago as well as on a high-fashion photo shoot in New York City.

Certified in Keratin Complex Treatment Darlene worked with Andreas at Unitress Salon for 21 years before accompanying him to his new location. She began her career at John Amico, a school affiliated with Hair Performers. Before finding her way to Chicago's North Shore, she attended numerous seminars and classes at the renowned Jingles Academy in London and worked at a Sebastian Artistic Salon in Chicago. In 2000, she was selected to become a Senior Educator for Paul Mitchell, an honor she has been fulfilling ever since. Her deep passion for the arts shines through in all that she does. When not at the salon, she can be found on stage and behind the scenes at many hair shows, fashion shows, and industry gatherings. Her work has been published in many hair and fashion magazines including Paul Mitchell Cut and Dry, Modern Salon, Inspire, Total Image, and Just Hair. One of her models was recently featured on WGN News and in Chicago's Latino Hair Show. Every year since 2008, Darlene has also been a featured stylist doing cuts and colors on stage at the World Beauty Show at Chicago's McCormick Place. Stylist, Colorist, Makeup Artist A natural at all things beauty related, Carla is a rare talent who absolutely loves her career. Motivated by the passion she has always held for the industry, Carla is a mentor and coach to the other talent in our salon. Specializing in precision cutting, coloring, formal styling and makeup, she is a master of her craft with incredible artistic vision. Her enthusiasm is apparent the minute you enter the salon. She gives her guests unparalleled attention and the results are always fabulous. A graduate of Arlington Academy and certified in the Pivot Point Scientific Approach to Hair Sculpture and Design, Carla has been working with Andreas Hogue for 20+ years. She is currently an Aveda Coach and Educator where she does in-salon training for stylists, and has recently become a certified DevaCurl stylist. Carla trained for 3 years in a Sebastian Artistic Center for advanced cutting, coloring and makeup prior to joining Andreas Hogue. Carla's work has been featured in several magazines and beauty blogs, including Passion Hair, Modern Salon, Behind the Chair, Hot Hair Magazine, Make it Better and Bloom. Her impressive styles and makeup applications have also been modeled in fashion shows and photo shoots. Carla continues to attend seminars and classes to keep up with the current techniques and styles within the industry.

Stylist, Colorist, Curly Specialist Known for her beautiful haircuts and gorgeous dimensional colors, Jackie is in high demand in our Northbrook salon where she’s been working since 2012. A graduate of Pivot Pointe Academy in Chicago, Jackie began her career as an associate under the tutelage of Andreas and Carla and quickly became a client favorite. A curly hair specialist, Jackie is certified in both Ouidad and Deva techniques. She is also certified in Cezanne, a popular smoothing treatment. If you’re looking for a low maintenance blonde, bronde or brunette, Jackie is your girl.

Valerie provides a positive and vibrant environment for her guests. She is approachable, relatable, and down to earth. Her forte is balayage and grey blending/coverage with a very natural and earthy aesthetic. Valerie also specializes in cutting and styling for all genders and ages. She has been in the beauty industry the last 10 years and serving the North Shore since 2014. When Valerie isn’t behind the chair, you can find her on her yoga mat.

Born and raised in Chicago's North suburbs, Kevin became fascinated with hair at a young age. He was the kid in school who loved braiding and styling his friends' hair in class despite the reprimands from his teachers. After attending several college semesters as a music major, he realized that he wanted pursue his real dream of doing hair, so he enrolled in Tricoci University of Beauty Culture and never looked back. Since his 2014 graduation from Tricoci, Kevin has managed to pack in hundreds of hours of education and travel the country for classes including haircutting classes at the Vidal Sassoon Academy and bridal/formal styling classes with the highly sought-after bridal educator Renee Marie.
If you ask Kevin which he loves most--cutting or coloring--he simply cannot choose and he's outstanding at both. Kevin is known for his natural eye for color. He has a special love for gray coverage and balayage. When it comes to cutting, he specializes in razor cuts--specifically short women's cuts including pixies and undercuts. Kevin also enjoys working with fine, fragile hair and loves the opportunity to add fullness and volume with hair extensions. He is also a beach wave perm specialist. An Aveda Trained Stylist, Kevin brings a calming energy to the salon experience with complimentary hand and scalp masssages for his guests. Stylist, Colorist Francesca has been a lead stylist with Andreas Hogue Salon since its opening day in 2011. Before that, she worked alongside Andreas for 10 years at his first salon. Francesca is wildly passionate about the beauty industry and all-things hair and makeup. She is constantly continuing her education by attending industry classes and seminars. She is a gifted colorist and stylist and is known for her great haircuts—long and short. Francesca is certified in Keratin Complex Smoothing Treatment and is also known as a curl aficionado. Francesca loves products and advises all of her guests on best products and practices to re-create their salon looks at home. Francesca’s beautiful work has been published in Passion International Hair Magazine.

Stylist, Colorist Sammi is a wonderful stylist who has been with us for over 10 years. Sammi has a passion for lived-in, low-maintenance, custom colors and stylish cuts. She consistently exceeds client expectations when bringing their visions to life. When anyone new to us is looking for a balayage, Sammi is the first colorist we recommend.
Sammi received intensive balayage training at the 901 Academy in West Hollywood and has been one of our top balayage artists ever since. Sammi looks forward to seeing you in her chair soon! -

Stylist, Colorist Sue has been with Andreas Hogue Salon since its opening in 2011 and has been working alongside Andreas Hogue for many more years than that. A graduate of Pivot Pointe Academy, Sue is a gifted colorist who also loves to cut and style hair. With a passion for all things academic (she has a BA in Secondary Education and Spanish as well as a minor in math), she is always in pursuit of knowledge and furthering her education. Her most recent certifications are for Cezanne Smoothing Treatments and Balayage and Blonding. She has attended nearly every class provided to her by Andreas Hogue salon including classes led by Chystofer Benson, Leah Sterk, Daniel Roldan, Nicholas French and more. Sue's guests know her as a kind and accommodating stylist who will bend over backwards to please her guests.

Stylist, Colorist From New York Fashion Week to Northbrook, Illinois, Mel has been styling both everyday and camera-ready looks for over 20 years. As a colorist, she loves creating red/auburn tones, blond highlights, subtle ombres, grey blending, and creative colors. With a pair of shears, she specializes in the Vidal Sassoon method of cutting and is known for her sleek bobs, long natural layers and fun short cuts for both men and women. She works well with all hair types and specializes in finer hair. Mel has worked in the Chicagoland area for over 17 years as an Aveda specialist and educator; she continues to teach the latest color trends and styles to up-and-coming stylists. When she’s not in the salon, you will likely find her at a concert or music festival with her husband; or at home with her two Maincoone cats named Royal and Princess. She’s a lover of all animals and enjoys drawing, painting, reading and cooking.

Stylist, Colorist Vicky has been a sought-after North Shore stylist for 25 years. A well rounded artist, she loves doing men cuts, women's cuts—both short and long--and children’s cuts and styles. She is a color-correction specialist and loves nothing more than making her guests feel better about themselves on the inside and out. Passionate about "all things beautiful", when Vicky is not at the salon, chances are you will find her at home painting canvases or playing with dogs.

Curly Haired Specialist, Deva Advanced Certified, Stylist and Colorist Debbi was literally born into the beauty industry. Her uncle, Paul Glick, was one of America’s most legendary hairstylists and Debbi had the good fortune of working in his Michigan Avenue Salon alongside him for many years catering to Chicago socialites and Hollywood icons. After moving her business to Northbrook, Debbi took the Deva Curly Hair training in 2007 with the company founders themselves and became a Deva Advanced Stylist. A passion for the “curly girl” clientele, Debbi’s curly-haired girls travel great distances to experience her unique and innovative approach to the perfect curl as well as for her “Pintura” hair painting technique for curly haired clientele. Debbi’s enthusiastic approach keeps her always engaged and constantly learning. She loves this industry and her passion shows!

Stylist, Colorist Since Monika started working for Andreas Hogue Salon back in 2013, her knowledge and quality of work has far surpassed her time. Monika specializes in precision haircuts and enjoys color, especially balayage. Continuing education and keeping up with trends is very important to her. Monika loves listening to what her guests want and delivering their vision. On her free time she enjoys interior decorating, cooking and spending time with her two boys and husband. Monika is also fluent in Polish!

Stylist, Colorist, Extensionist, Balayage/Ombre Specialist A graduate of Mario Tricoci University, Brittany is a superb precision cutter with an extreme passion for color. She loves everything about color applications, from coming up with a bold and daring style, to helping her clients acquire a natural look. She enjoys analyzing all her guests by their face shapes and colorings to best determine the perfect look for each individual. Brittany specializes in corrective color and loves to do radical makeovers. Her work has appeared regularly on Chicago’s Fox News as well as in local fashion shows and Make it Better magazine. In 2013, shortly after graduating cosmetology school, Kristin Kaide burst onto the beauty scene when she was named a finalist in Sebastian’s What’s Next Awards. With more than 700 entries, her top-15 finish in the international competition was beyond her imagination. This experience landed her among the “who’s who” of up-and-coming American hairdressers and fueled her interest in the editorial world.
With 400+ hours of continuing education, Kristin is constantly sharpening her skills. In 2018, she was awarded the Cosmetologists Chicago "President’s Scholarship". She has trained in California, New York, Las Vegas, and London, and is also an educator for Moroccanoil.
Specializing in precision cutting for men and women, Kristin also enjoys open-curl cutting and creating beautiful formal looks. Kristin is a member of the American Cosmetology Association, Cosmetologists of Chicago Association, and The Powder Group. She has generously volunteered her time as a stylist for St. Baldrick’s and as an instructor for Reason to Give, an organization that assists women who are re-entering the workforce.

Stylist, Colorist, Makeup Artist Besa graduated from the Paul Mitchell School in 2010 and has been working with Andreas Hogue ever since. A very well-rounded stylist and makeup artist with a passion for all things beauty-related, Besa is especially known for her beautiful cutting techniques, her formal hairstyling, and her extreme makeovers. When not at the salon, Besa enjoys spending time with her young son.

Stylist, Colorist, Extensionist and Makeup Artist A graduate of Arlington Academy, Regina is an accomplished hairstylist and talented makeup artist who has been working with Andreas Hogue since 2001. She is a lover of art, music and dance, and brings her appreciation of the arts into all that she does in the salon. Focused on women’s cuts and coloring, Regina also loves styling brides and bridesmaids for their big event. She is a Hairdreams Certified Extensionist as well as a trained Mirabella Makeup Educator. Regina placed second in Hair Wars for Avant Garde Makeup. Like all stylists with Andreas Hogue, she attends monthly education and classes to keep up with all the current trends in the industry. Her favorite classes to attend are the annual Paul Mitchell seminars which take place in Las Vegas. Regina enjoys participating in local charity events whenever possible. She has donated her services to the Glenbrook South Poms Fashion Show as well as the Paul Mitchell Cut-A-Thon on Oak Street Beach in Chicago. Regina’s work has also been published several times in Make It Better magazine.

Stylist, Colorist, Makeup Artist, Matrix Educator Cynthia is a talented and skilled stylist who has been working with Andreas Hogue since 2007. In her career, she has worked closely with our salon’s in-house Paul Mitchell educator as well as with Andreas himself. Through the years, she has developed a passion working with Matrix and is now a certified bilingual Matrix educator, teaching classes and participating in working at hair shows. Cynthia’s wonderful work was recently featured in Passion International Magazine, a publication that is distributed worldwide and features creations from our country’s leading stylists. She has also had the opportunity to participate in styling for runway shows. A graduate of Arlington Academy Beauty School, Cynthia considers hair an art and approaches each client with the intention of creating something fabulous. She specializes in Matrix hair color, as well as modern color techniques, formal styles and short women’s cuts. Cynthia’s warm and loving personality has lent itself well to several charity hair-cutting events, including the Paul Mitchell Cut-A-Thon on Chicago’s Oak Street Beach, and designates her spare time to varieties of volunteer work.

Blonde specialist, Balayage artist, stylist and colorist Alyssa graduated from the Paul Mitchell School in 2018 and has been working full time as a stylist ever since. She emerged from Andreas Hogue Salon’s Associate’s Program with high honors, graduating very quickly with a clear demonstration of her talent and skill. With an equal love for cutting and coloring, she is especially good with blondes and creative foiling and she excels in haircutting for both men and women. When Alyssa isn’t at the salon, she enjoys spending time with her big Italian family at their second home in Lake Geneva.

Maya’s hair journey began long before she began working for Andreas Hogue Salon in 2019. The niece of a hairstylist and salon owner, Maya grew up in and around her aunt's salon and fell in love with hairdressing at a very young age. Before going to beauty school, Maya attended Lewis University where she received her BA in 2015. In 2020, Maya graduated from the renowned Paul Mitchell School in Chicago and in early 2021, she graduated from Andreas Hogue’s Associate Program and began working behind the chair. Maya has been recognized by Andreas Hogue as “a natural” and gifted stylist. He says that “there are some people who just ‘get it’ and to whom it comes so naturally” and Maya is one of those stylists. Maya does beautiful haircuts and color and loves styling long hair. Ariana has worked in salons since 2017 and graduated from Cosmetology and Spa Academy in 2020. Growing up in a family filled with hairdressers, Ariana would play with makeup and style her friends’ hair for any and every occasion. A natural Colorist, she loves working with all colors and is especially passionate about hand painting/balayage. Ariana is also great with men’s cutting and formal styling. Her bubbly personality brings a fun environment to our salon and to her chair, as she loves connecting with people and having fun.
During her time outside of the salon, Ariana loves to travel, have movie marathons, and spend time with her big family.

Emerging Artist (Talent in Training) In 2019, Jenna came to Andreas Hogue Salon with a passion for hair. She worked as an assistant in our bustling Northbrook salon while simultaneously attending Tricoci University, from which she graduated in November 2020. Jenna loves cutting and giving her clients beautiful blowouts. Jenna believes in continuing education and eagerly attends all trainings and classes offered through the salon. When she’s not behind-the-chair, you’ll likely find Jenna in the great outdoors either riding her bike or curled up on her front porch with a great book. You may also catch her serving up Glenview’s best ice cream from the Glenview Dairy Bar, her family’s business which she still helps out with when needed.

Carrie is a highly skilled and extremely talented stylist who has been doing hair for 17 years. A graduate of Chicago’s Aveda Institute, Carrie loves doing dimensional blondes and all over colors. She’s very good with long layered haircuts and bobs and is great with styling hair with curls. Carrie is a highly personable, outgoing stylist who loves to get to know her clients and their families. Carrie herself is a mom of two boys and when she’s not at work, you will most likely find her on a baseball field watching her boys play ball. She also loves live music; particularly the Grateful Dead.

Kelsey is constantly furthering her education; she most recently became a Certified Bellami Hair Extensions artist. Kelsey is passionate about the beauty industry and loves nothing more than making her clients feel beautiful and happy with their hair and while in her chair. Kelsey is a great listener and works hard to achieve her clients' vision. In her free time, Kelsey spends time walking her dog, working out at the gym and helping out with her three kid brothers.

Cassidy’s love for doing hair started at a very young age when she realized she preferred to style her own hair, rather than letting her mom do it. She was soon styling her friends’ hair and did so for every event as they grew up. Cassidy attended the College of Lake County’s Tech Campus and graduated from their cosmetology program. She loves cutting, blowouts, and has a special passion for formal styling. Her favorite thing about working in the beauty industry is creating a look that her clients love—one that makes them feel confident and beautiful. When not in the salon, Cassidy continues to participate in her life-long hobbies of band, dance and music.

Erin graduated from the Paul Mitchell School in 2023 and has been working at Andreas Hogue Salon since 2021. Erin loves color application, foiling, and cutting. She also enjoys a good blowout with curls. Erin is always learning and regularly attends classes through the salon. Erin loves listening to her clients and collaborating to make them happy and feel good. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, making crafts, and spending time with family and friends. The hair industry has always been an especially meaningful part of Liv's life. Growing up, lots of her time was spent in her grandmother’s salon where she watched and learned about hair. At a very young age, Liv was inspired to pursue her cosmetology license and while finishing her last years at high school she also began her cosmetology education and started working with Andreas Hogue Salon. Liv feels passionately about making people feel their very best in their own skin. She enjoys many aspects of color and styling, but is particularly fond of blonding and highlighting services and finishing her client’s service with a smooth, satisfying blowout. Liv has an infectious energy and a smile that lights up a room. We love having her in the salon, are in awe of the work she is already producing, and are excited for new clients to have the opportunity to meet her and work with her.
